Woodcut from 1952, printed in green and blue with two blocks and the text in gray.

This woodcarving is part of four (Earth,Sky, Fire and Water), which Escher made as New-Year's Congratulation for Ir. Eug. Strens. The woodcarving "Water"  Escher made in 1952 for the New Year of 1956. The number of copies is unknown.
